Nice digital City began as Nice Supermarket Limited by Mr. C.N.KABURU as the Director. His experience in business spans back over 32 years ago from a humble beginning as a tailor after he inherited a sewing machine from his father and began the tailoring business with KSH 2500. He later decided to venture into agrovet business by distributing agrochemicals by the help of a bicycle.
The agrochemicalsbusiness enabled him to raise KSH 300,000 in 2014, which heinvested in Nice supermarket selling food stuffs and clothes. In the year 2016 the Nice supermarket expanded its operations to transport business having 2 PSV vehicles operating between Nairobi- Dandora route. With financial support from KCB, CFC, ABC and Diamond trust Bank, we expanded our operations by buying 6 trucks for transport. Within the business operations, We realized and an increase in demand for Mwea pishori rice from the travelers along Nairobi- Meru route, this spark the Directors interest to venture into rice milling in the year 2011. This was a heavy investment into 2 rice milling machines with the capacity to mill 100 tons of rice a day, operating in a 10 acres of land. Nice rice was legally registered and incorporated in Kenya under the Company Act, Cap. 486, on April 2014.

Description of current business:
Over the years we have grown our business tremendously. With increased demand for rice and other goods and services, Nice rice digital has expanded its operations by buying 10 acres of land and establishing a ‘one stop shop Mall’ (Nice Digital City). The mall has 2 super markets where buyers stop and shop along Nairobi-Meru route, our survey confirms that out of 20 vehicles that passes Nairobi-Meru route, at least 5 stop for shopping and other services at the Nice digital city mall. We have a one stop over mall that has: a holiday hotel called Nice digital hotel, Banking services, restaurant, guestrooms, Club nice, 3 conference halls, 3 mini bars, tire center, a petrol station, swimming pool, barber shops, gym center and children’s electric playground. We have expanded our milling capacity by having additional 50metric tons rice milling machine.
